The fight or flight system automatically gets activated in the body when the body senses a threat. It prepares the body to either fight the threat or run away from the threat. The body experiences these changes automatically. Although these changes happen for the right reasons, the body experiences discomfort when these changes are triggered in seemingly 'safe' situations.
